Follow this MORNING ROUTINE and it will transform your life.
What is the thing which we listen to, first thing in the morning? The common answer by all, with few exceptions, would be, the sound of a loud(wicked) alarm bell. And nobody loves that but they have no other option for that. But those initial minutes after waking up are in fact the most important moments which ultimately decide our day.
A lot of research has been done about what should be the ideal time to wake up. There are famous books written like 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma or The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod which have inspired millions of people to wake up early in the morning. The time for waking up and going to bed has been provided very explicitly by Indian Yogis in the scriptures. But the relevance of them is understood now after the life of man, in general, has deteriorated and his lifestyle has become a mess.
The first thoughts we have in the morning are very important and they linger with us for the rest of the day. Many times if we are under stress for the whole day, those thoughts are active even when we are asleep and rush immediately again when we get up. The best possible start to our day should be by speaking some affirmation like, “I WILL HAVE A GREAT DAY TODAY!”. You can also start your day by offering gratitude like, “I THANK YOU LORD FOR THE WONDERFUL LIFE YOU HAVE GIVEN US!” Be sincere in whatever you speak as if things are gradually getting fructified otherwise the plain flowery language will be of little use.
People who have got the habit of reading spiritual books can recite some sacred verses. The best one which you might speak if you know about this is, “LET ALL BEINGS BE HAPPY, LET ALL BEINGS BE PEACEFUL, LET ALL BEINGS BY BLISSFUL(ॐ सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः)” It is a universal prayer for mankind which symbolizes that you are not selfish and only seek only your own happiness but you care for all.
These are the initial thoughts which we discussed but along with it you need to create space for meditation, physical exercise, yogasana and pranayama. You can pick all or few out of this. Your goal should be to create a package for at least 40 minutes which you follow very strictly everyday. I will give you an example for that.
A SAMPLE MORNING ROUTINE YOU CAN CREATE FOR YOURSELF COULD BE SOMETHING LIKE
|GETTING UPTIME||5 AM|
|AFFIRMATIONS IN THE MORNING.||5 MINUTES|
|PHYSICAL EXERCISE AND PRANAYAMA||15 MINUTES|
|PLANNING FOR THE WHOLE DAY||10 MINUTES|

We should remember that we should not start our day directly by scanning our mobile or reading the newspaper. As we discussed in the beginning, the first initial thoughts set up your whole day and a day that begins with negative thoughts can ruin your whole day. One American psychologist had said sarcastically, “NEWSPAPERS ARE BAD, NEWSPAPERS ARE SAD AND NEWSPAPERS MAKE YOU MAD!” But what he in fact meant is that we should not start our day by reading negative and toxic things which are mostly highlighted on the first page of the newspaper. (The fault is also not entirely of the media because if they wrote a sacred verse of Bhagwad Gita on the first page, people will stop reading the newspaper.) All these things can be done but only once our package of around 40 minutes is over.
One more thing I would like to add is that I mentioned that we should add a few things out of Pranayama, Meditation, Yogasana in our morning package. These in themselves are big powerful sciences. Your life can get transformed if you gradually develop an interest in Pranayama or Meditation and increase the duration with the passage of time.
