“I AM NOT DEAD! HOW DARE YOU?” Funny story to lighten up your day.
Time is ripe for us to feel a little easy, have a smile on our face, and enjoy the rest of our day. I have decided to tell you a small story I read in one of the books which I will share with you.
There is always a section in most of the newspapers which is allocated for information about dead people where people give photographs of their family members or near ones’ who have passed away in the near time. Not an ideal section to look at but all people go through that section with the hope that none of the people whom they love appear in that area.
One day there was a mistake by some newspaper reporter. He reported a person as dead and put his photo instead of one of his relatives. The person was shocked when he saw his photograph in the section of dead people. His relatives and friends began to inquire by coming to his home and giving phone calls. He got very upset convincing people that he is perfectly fine.
He stormed into a newspaper office waving the current edition, asking to see who wrote the
obituary column. He was referred to a cub reporter to whom he showed the column, including his obituary. “You can see I am very much alive. I demand a retraction!” Replied the reporter, “I never retract a story. But I’ll tell you what I’ll do; I’ll put you in the birth column and give you a fresh start!”
