The Art of Letting Go.
“I have been wronged!”
“I have been hard done by!”
“It was not my fault!”
These thoughts always stay at the back of our minds and keep on tormenting us mentally. It may have truth associated with it. It is really possible that you have been wronged but 90 to 95% of the time, we feel that we have been wronged. Whatever the case may be but it only doing us harm and giving us no profit and most of us know that. There are some emotional people who get so animated that they don’t want to forget it.
CHANGE IN PERSPECTIVE
But we need to figure out how to get over this problem. A mental shift or a change in perspective can help us a long way to overcome negative feelings. When we say I HAVE BEEN WRONGED. This is a very objective and incomplete sentence. We need to go into more depth about that. What was the situation? What was the chain of events which ended up making me feel wrong? Most of the time we will feel that this is what would have happened to anybody in such scenarios. And even if we feel that somebody played foul with me, there is not much we can do!.
WE NEED TO ACCEPT, ACKNOWLEDGE AND MOVE ON! LEARN FROM SITUATIONS AND WITH ONLY EXPERIENCE WE WILL FIND SOLUTIONS.
EVERYBODY HAS GOT A PERSONAL SPACE, A PERSONAL FREEDOM
There is a personal space, a sacred area in us that nobody can get access to. Some people may call it soul or whatever but that is indeed divine. No matter what the world does to you, nobody can touch that divine place. Whenever there is a feeling of remorse and anger in you, close your eyes, take few deep breaths, and smile and tell yourself, “NO MATTER WHAT THE WORLD DOES, I HAVE MY PERSONAL FREEDOM WHICH NOBODY CAN TOUCH!”
BE HONEST AND DONT MAKE EXCUSES
Most people these days have fallen into the habit of not acknowledging their mistakes. Maybe because all people have started to lie or find workarounds, you also require a little bit of cleverness. But when you talk to yourself, acknowledge your mistakes and learn from them. Don’t fool yourself by repeatedly telling yourself, “IT WAS NOT MY FAULT. IT HAPPENED BECAUSE….!” If you repeat a lie many times, even you will start to feel that it is true.
I AM NOT DIFFERENT FROM ALL. I AM NOT AN EXCEPTION
“I am a tiny part of the world, one among billions and billions of people. What has happened to me is pretty much what happens to all!” Repeat this to yourself and the problems or feelings which seem like a burden will slowly begin to fade. You are not on autopilot and have no control over your actions. We have complete control over what we do and how we feel.
LITTLE HABITS AND HOLISTIC LIFE
Most people these days have issues related to health and lifestyle. A proper diet, physical exercise, and time spent in meditation will help you lead a balanced life. Maintain a schedule and work with discipline, this will surely help you in developing good mental health.
